How it works
Collected near home, processed every hour
Forty-five village-level collection centres sit near members’ homes. Families bring fruit they have collected or grown; pulp, slices and seeds are prepared under GMPCL leadership, then sent to the processing unit.

Custard apple, Jamun and guava are bought directly from tribal women at equitable prices, without intermediaries.

Pulp extraction, packing and freezing raise market value while keeping the nutrition of the fruit.

Training in processing, bookkeeping and financial literacy so women are leaders, not only labour.

Objectives and impact
Income, equity and the forest
During the Sitafal season in November and December, many families earn an extra ₹15,000 a month from this work, and some ₹35,000–₹40,000. GMPCL was registered in 2015 and works with about 5,000 tribal families.
Women as decision-makers
Members are shareholders, receive dividends, and work as leaders, bookkeepers and packing staff — equal voices in household and company decisions.
Nutrition and conservation
Products keep the nutrition of the raw fruit and stay affordable. Sustainable harvesting protects forest ecosystems and biodiversity.
